The Photonics21 Work Group 2
workshop will continue the roadmapping process which has been started at the
Photonics21 Annual Meeting 2012 and will collect further input for the
Photonics Multiannual Strategic Roadmap.
If you plan to arrive early you will
have the opportunity for lunch at 13:00, followed by a short guided tour
through the TRUMPF application labs.

next Photonics21 Work
Group 5 workshop will be held on the 15 June 2012 at the Vrije
Universiteit (VUB) in Brussels.
The meeting will be a one day event and take place from 10.30 – 16.30.
The workshop will be held in the meeting room: Promotion room building
D - D.201.
The Photonics21 Work Group 5
workshop will continue the roadmapping process which has been started at the
Photonics21 Annual Meeting 2012 and will collect further input for the
Photonics Multiannual Strategic Roadmap.
The meeting will be an important
milestone in the photonics roadmap process as the Photonics Multiannual
Strategic Roadmap will define the direction for future photonics research and
innovation funding and will serve the European Commission to further elaborate
on the new Framework Programme Horizon
2020.

3rd International Congress on Biophotonics (ICOB 2012) will be the
comprehensive event for the Biophotonics community worldwide. From medical and
biological end users to industrial developers, ICOB 2012 addresses the
different groups in Biophotonics with custom-tailored sessions and connects
them with innovative interdisciplinary activities. By bringing together the
whole spectrum of bright minds in Biophotonics ICOB 2012 will take
interdisciplinary networking to the next level. The unique approach will
provide key individuals in Biophotonics with the necessary contacts and
information to increase success in the field.
ICOB
2012 will run three full days, from June 19 to 21. Internal satellite
meetings (e.g. from Biophotonics4Life, Photonics4Life) will likely take place
on Monday June 18.

The next Photonics21 Work Group 3 workshop will be held in the frame of the ICOB2012 conference. The workshop will concentrate on the further development of the photonics roadmap.
The basic
idea of the collocation with ICOB2012 is to utilize the input that is generated
during the various sessions for the roadmapping. (see the programme).
Therefore the actual Work Group 3 workshop will be focused solely on the roadmapping
itself.
The first
part of the Photonics21 Work Group 3 workshop will take place on Wednesday, 20 June from 18:00 – 19:30
in the conference room of the planetarium in Jena where the ICOB conference will take place.
The second
part of the Photonics21 Work Group 3 Workshop will take place on Thursday, 21 June starting at 17:00 with open end, also
in the conference room of the ICOB.
The
Photonics21 workshops itself will be free of registration fee; we would
