Biological imaging based on fluorescence and vibrational spectroscopy and different types of mass spectrometry allows to gain valuable information from complex biological specimens, e.g. the spatial distribution of molecules, that cannot be acquired otherwise. These imaging approaches require sophisticated bioinformatics to extract knowledge from primary data.

The first bioanalytical imaging meeting hosted by DECHEMA will cover current trends ranging from technological advances, the analysis of hidden biochemical spatial regularities, to biomarker discovery in medical, biological, and nutrition research.

The Scientific Committee invites you to submit one-page abstracts of posters. The topics:

• All aspects of research related to chemical imaging in biological samples
• Special focus on Raman- and Mass Spectrometry Imaging
